Dean Wootten and Mike Thexton offer practical consultancy advice to practitioners all over the UK.
Areas where we are often asked to advise include:
- Cross border movements of goods
- International services
- Partial exemption
- Land and property including option to tax
- Capital goods scheme
- Tour operators margin scheme
We aim is to provide in-house VAT expertise for firms that cannot justify a full time VAT expert. Whilst our advice can cover very technical matters it is presented in a way that is easy to understand and convey to clients.
We have consultancy arrangements with a number of firms in the UK. We will quickly build up a relationship with the firm. This relationship can take many forms depending on the needs of the firm and their clients. It may involve regular visits to the firm's offices to discuss any issues that have arisen. Some firms prefer to discuss matters over the telephone whilst others submit queries by e-mail. We are very flexible in this regard with the overriding objective of building up a good working relationship with the firm and their staff.
We are happy to attend client meetings at the firms request and this is something that can be arranged when appropriate.
We are aware that our consultancy advice will normally be charged onto the client and as a result offers a flexible fee structure based on the average partner charge-out rate of the firm in question.
Time is charged in 10 minute units and invoices will be raised on a monthly basis.
